What does my general contractor need to know about NZE Certified?
The builder needs to know everything about the process. NZE certified provides the general contractor with a project list, so that he can coordinate the solar installation and the other aspects of the NZE certified process with the other trades. The GC orders the appropriate HERS inspection at the appropriate time during the construction process. He then collects both the CF-4R forms and CF-6R forms and distributes them to NSHP and NZE certified.

Mechanical System Space

Sufficient space to locate the heating, cooling and domestic hot water generator is important. Your architect will need a space with the house of a minimum 4'x4' footprint. These issues will be discussed during the design phase of you project.
